In a crisis, lives depend on effective communications between emergency first response teams. Interoperability among agencies is essential to effective emergency management. Emergency personnel require a solution capable of promptly integrating the variety of disparate and legacy communications systems used by different agencies and departments.

To answer the need of emergency professionals, the Sanmina-SCI Defense & Aerospace division has modified its military-proven Tactical Operations Center Intercommunications Systems, TOCNET®, to develop TOCNET-R, a portable rapid-response communications interoperability system designed to address the needs of first responders. First responders include military, DHS, federal, state and local agencies, and other response team personnel.
